The Baraques roundabout linking the RD 6202, on the left bank of the Var and the RD 6202 Bis on the right bank is the first major road intersection one comes to when travelling into Nice from the hinterland. This role as a strategic gateway into the city is echoed in the landscaping of the roundabout where two families of plants meet in the form of groves that create an almost theatrical setting for the sculpture of Bernard Pagès « Vent debout ».
