The urban redevelopment project for the village of Châteauneuf-Villevieille concerns the feasibility study of the village center. This study affirms the desire to include the heart of the village in a new urban dynamic. The project has been developing since the treatment of the village road right-of-way. It must be conceived in the thickness defined by the public spaces, in order to create a new facade to the street, to connect the different functions and public spaces, and to highlight the openings on the wide landscape.
The project initially proposes to make the street space clear by removing the accumulation of existing furniture and to account for the extended limits of the project through a master plan outlining the main axes of the composition of the layout. The whole forming a geometry adapted to different uses and functions. The street thus becomes the village square, a square where all the functions and services come together: the town hall and its garden, the arbor for shops on the Place de la Madone, the church and its square with the memorial to the Dead , the cemetery then the village school, passing through new garden spaces at the back of the stage.
