This project brings together and takes into account different development centres to highlight the tourist sites of sub-Saharan Africa, and the urban and landscaping components in particular.
The project concerns the reconstruction of a historic city – a UNESCO heritage site, composed of three French, English and Portuguese forts, as well as the requalification of other urban spaces.
The creation of a spaceport and theme park on Mauritius is part of a large-scale project dedicated to the new field of space-tourism. The architectural project is based on the double principle of dynamic and static forces. Dynamic for the boomerang- shaped area providing accommodation which is turned towards the lagoon and the ocean, and static for the capsule-shaped area facing the interior and attached to a theme park. The landscaping acts as a source of inspiration generating an atmosphere of tropical parks and thematic gardens.
The 6202 bis, a major departmental road in the Var valley, fits perfectly into the environment by echoing the course of the river and forming a connection between the exceptional landscapes of the sea and the mountains. The initiative of this project is to introduce roadside landscaping using an appropriate palette of plants and vegetation.
The Baie des Anges, like all legendary bays around the world, pulls a powerful geographic and aesthetic punch. Work on such a site implies developing a strong seaside imagery. In the Cité du Parc, a system of paths and openings through the arcades of the cultural areas contrasts with this linear space.
The Petit Lac Tourist Residence project next to Cannes Mandelieu golf course and aerodrome is built around an artificial lake fed by the Siagne water tables. It comprises a hotel complex and lake-side area as well as recreational areas in a landscaped setting. The project is part of a new coherence in synergy with the architecture and natural identity.
A shared landscape is designed for everyone. Each level of the Nice Meridia building has a unique project; unique in terms of both layout and function. The terraces and roof-gardens are framed by the vertical lines of the architecture creating windows onto the landscape. The project concerning the exterior spaces on the fifth façade plays with the altimetric planes and surfaces enabling the extension of the covered spaces to the roofs.
The project concerns this long line drawn between the opera house and the parc du château. This linear space in the Cité du Parc contrasts with the crisscross of passageways and openings through the arches of the cultural spaces. Each terrace of Les Ponchettes is arranged around a wooden decked walkway facing the exterior and a shaded area under a pergola which form small salons for the restaurateurs and passers-by.
The dual purpose of this project in Maubeuge is to highlight the historical heritage of the city’s fortifications designed by Vauban, and to create an innovative and emblematic wildlife park. The project finds its strength and form from the necessary dialogue between the past, on the one hand, represented by Vauban’s architecture, and the living, on the other, in order to become fully integrated into the city and to ensure its impact will extend beyond its own limits.
